The Approach

Documentary instinct. Cinematic craft.

I'm Jared — a wedding photographer and filmmaker for Las Vegas weddings and elopements. I bring documentary instinct and cinematic craft to a city where the light does half the work: red rock at golden hour, neon after dark, and a chapel on every corner. Every couple gets the same standard — chase the real moment first, then frame it like it belongs on a screen.

Your hourly booking covers photography with Jared. For another perspective or a wedding film, request a second photographer or video add-on. See the published add-on prices below, then contact me to confirm availability.

Most of my couples plan their Las Vegas wedding from somewhere else. These guides are the local knowledge I give every couple who inquires — free, whether you book me or not.

Questions Couples Ask

Everything you're wondering, answered.

How many hours should we book?

As a guide: 1–2 hours for an elopement, chapel ceremony and portraits; 3–4 for a ceremony with portrait locations or limited reception coverage; 5–6 for several major events; 7–8 for most of a traditional wedding day; and 9–12 for extensive wedding-day storytelling. These are guidelines, not requirements.

Can we add a second photographer?

Yes. A second photographer is $150 per hour with a 3-hour minimum, subject to availability. Edited images join your gallery. Contact Jared to arrange the add-on separately from your photography reservation.

Do you shoot both photo and video?

Yes. Hourly coverage is photography with Jared. Add Wedding Teaser for $750: 2–4 hours of video coverage and a 60-second film. Or choose Wedding Highlight Film for $1,750: 5–8 hours of video coverage and a 5–7-minute film. Ceremony Film and Reception Moments are $300 each when added to either film. Events must fall within your booked video coverage. Add-ons are subject to availability.

Do we need to pay everything when we book?

A 25% nonrefundable booking retainer reserves your wedding coverage. The remaining 75% is due 15 calendar days before your wedding date. Bookings within 15 days require full payment.

How many photos will we receive?

At least 50 professionally edited photographs per booked hour, delivered as high-resolution digital files through a private online gallery.

Are location fees included?

Applicable venue admission, permits, parking and special-access charges are your responsibility unless specifically agreed otherwise.

More wedding planning questions
Can we visit multiple locations?

Yes. Visit as many locations as your consecutive coverage allows. Travel between locations counts toward your booked time.

Do our hours have to be consecutive?

Yes. Coverage runs continuously from your scheduled start time, with no unpaid gaps.

Can we add hours later?

Yes, subject to Jared’s availability. Additional consecutive hours are $300 each.

Do we need a consultation before booking?

No. You can book first and plan afterward. A free 20-minute consultation is available if you want to talk before committing.

Do we get the digital files and copyright?

You receive high-resolution digital photographs with personal printing and sharing rights according to your photography agreement. Jared Photo & Films retains copyright.

Is an engagement session included?

Yes, with 8 or more hours of wedding photography.

Is a boudoir session included?

Yes, with 10 or more hours of wedding photography. Those bookings also include the engagement session.

Where in Las Vegas will you photograph a wedding or elopement?

Anywhere your day takes you — Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, the dry lake beds, Seven Magic Mountains, Mount Charleston, any chapel on the Strip, a hotel suite, the neon downtown at midnight. Most of my favorite days combine two or three: desert light for the vows, city light for the after-party.

We're planning from out of state. How does this work?

Perfectly — most Las Vegas couples plan from somewhere else. We do a call, I help you pick locations and timing for your date, I point you through any permits, and the first time we meet in person is usually the day you get married. Galleries and films are delivered online.

How do we get a Nevada marriage license?

Pre-apply online with Clark County, then both of you pick it up in person at the Marriage License Bureau downtown — open 8 am to midnight, 365 days a year. No residency requirement, no blood test, no waiting period. My guide to getting married in Las Vegas walks through every step.

Do we need a permit to elope at Red Rock Canyon or Valley of Fire?

Yes — both use low-cost special use permits (BLM for Red Rock, Nevada State Parks for Valley of Fire). It's paperwork, not a hurdle, and I walk every couple through exactly what to apply for and when.

What is the best time of year to get married in Las Vegas?

October–November and March–May are the sweet spots. Winter is underrated — mild afternoons and golden hour before dinner. Summer works too; we just build the day around sunrise, shade, and neon nights instead of 2 pm sun.

Can you shoot our chapel or Elvis wedding?

Absolutely — I've photographed and filmed a wedding at A Little White Chapel, Elvis and pink Cadillac included, and it was one of the most joyful ceremonies I've ever shot. One tip: every chapel has its own outside-photographer policy, so check it before booking. Tell me which chapel and I'll help you sort it.

How much does a Las Vegas wedding photographer cost?

My photography coverage ranges from $450–$3,750. The first hour is $450, with each additional consecutive hour $300. Select 1–12 hours to see your exact total.

Is there an app for planning a Las Vegas wedding?

Yes — mine. I built Wedding Planner Pro Ai for iPhone and iPad: budget and deposit tracking, guest list and RSVPs, a run-of-show timeline you can hand your vendors, and an AI contract scanner that reads payment schedules straight off a photographed contract. It's completely private — no accounts, no data collection — and it's on the App Store. Every couple who books me gets my help setting it up for their day.

How far in advance should we book?

Vegas moves faster than most wedding markets — many elopements book one to six months out, and I take last-minute dates when the calendar allows. Popular months (October, April, May) go earliest. If your date is set, reach out now; if it isn't, reach out anyway and we'll find the light together.
